Bay Area Land Developer Continues Rapid Growth
2/03/10

San Ramon, CA -- On the heels of their partnership with Mark Rowson, Americap Development Partners recently announced David Day as another key addition to their high-caliber land development team.

Day’s career history speaks to a holistic approach to land development. He served in nearly every sector of the industry, and has seen multiple projects through the acquisition, development and construction process. From large scale wetlands mitigation to the reconstruction of waterfront areas, Day’s projects are characterized by an innovative and environmentally conscious approach to any development challenge. Some of his most recent residential and mixed-use projects include the Bayport Alameda Project, Encinal Terminals and Grand Marina Village, all located in Alameda, CA.

His experience with large scale public utilities and public works projects is also unparalleled, having worked in various capacities on projects including the Hyperion Treatment Plant in Los Angeles; BART’s Pittsburgh-Antioch Extension Project; a seismic retrofit of the Interstate-280 viaduct; the design, bidding and construction of seven major interstate bridge projects in Alameda County; and the design and management of infrastructure construction for the Mission Bay development in San Francisco.

Given his extensive experience, it’s no surprise that Day seriously considered starting his just own firm. However, he was immediately attracted to Americap’s partnership driven approach: “After talking with Americap, and discussing the options available to me with friends and advisers, I decided that I could achieve more by joining their group. There is a talented team already in place Americap that I can use to leverage my abilities and achieve more than I could on my own.”

Day will be serving as Americap’s Vice President of Engineering He is a Registered Professional Engineer (PE), and received his MBA from UCLA with a Real Estate Development emphasis and his BS in Civil Engineering from California State University, Chico.

Americap Expands Executive Team
12/07/09

Americap Development Partners is proud to announce its newest partner, Bay Area industry leader Mark Rowson. Rowson is well known in the local development community,  having most recently served as President of Warmington’s Northern California division, and is the current Eastern Division president of the Home Builders Association of Northern California. He has also held high level positions with some of the top public and private builders in the nation, including Shea Homes, Richmond American Homes, KB Home and Lennar.

A recognized authority on all facets of land acquisition, development and green building, Rowson is a perfect compliment to the expert team Americap Development Partners already has in place. Americap’s CEO, Scott Clark, places particular importance on each hire, especially given the opportunities presented by the development industry’s ongoing reorganization: “We spent the better part of 2009 strengthening our management team—looking for the partnerships we need to implement the next stage of our business plan.”

Clark and Rowson are committed to the creation and implementation of a new development paradigm: One that meets demand for new housing while protecting investors and homeowners alike. According to Rowson, “Inventory levels in specific submarkets are already being depleted. We expect that process to continue through 2010, and look forward to taking advantage of the numerous development opportunities presented by today’s market.”
